reception's blog

We did it!

It is hard to believe we have completed our very first week in Reception! It has been lovely to see the children so eager to get into school each day this week and embrace all the learning opportunities available in Reception. This week we even managed to get ready for PE with a little help from the teachers but we all know a little practice will soon have us doing this all by ourselves!

Grow your own potatoes

Mrs Berry has entered our class to take part in the Grow Your Own Potatoes project for schools. It is a great opportunity for us all to learn about growing and harvesting potatoes and to get stuck in and get our hands dirty. The competition closes in June, we shall keep you updated on how our potatoes are growing.

Minibeast Mansion

During our trip to Wisley the children collected fallen items with different textures. Back at school we sorted the different objects and discussed how they felt and used them to create a minibeast mansion outside our classroom.

We can not wait to see who our first guest is going to be!
