year 1's blog

And then for the best part......EAT!

Chop, slice, mix!

Year One had so much fun spending the afternoon making their own fruit salads, to end our 'Food' Topic learning. The children planned what they would put in their salads and what it would look like. All of the children demonstrated excellent listening and teamwork skills. Well done Year One! I think we have some little chefs in the making....!

Power for good

Year One are standing up to bullies! We have been learning the importance of speaking out against bullies. We made promises to to help us stand up and speak out; we wrote them on paper and created our own linking chain of promises to display in our classroom. It has been so lovely to see the children work together like the big family we are, to help each other understand the significance of anti-bullying week

Year One designed their own Baptism candles in RE today!

Today in RE we learnt about the components of a Baptism. Some of the children acted out a role-play, Baptising a baby.
