The Great Fire of London

During our History lesson the children were given timeline cards which they had to cut out and put  in the correct order from earliest to latest. After that the children were asked to mark when the Great Fire of London was. Everyone worked really hard and managed to put the cards in the right order and mark 1666 on the timeline. Well done Year 2!

Christmas cookies

We would like to say a big thank you to Erin and Mrs Fenton for making Christmas cookies with us this afternoon. They tasted delicious!

Isabella's baby sister visits Year 2

We were very lucky this morning to meet Isabella's new sister, Anastasia.
She is going to be three weeks old tomorrow. We have found out that her full name has 27 letters and her birthday is on the 27th. What a coincidence!

Thank you for the visit baby Anastasia!

Kaspar's Gingerbread House

Kaspar and his Mum made a lovely gingerbread house for our class to share.
This has become a Christmas tradition for his family as they have been making them for the past 8 years with their friends.

Thank you for such a lovely Christmas treat!

Tricky Trevor visits Mrs Gallagher's Phonics group

Last week during our phonics session there was a knock on our door and to everyone's surprise it was Tricky Trevor. He needed the children's help as he had lost most of his tricky words. Everyone worked hard to locate the words in the classroom, and we practiced reading and writing them, which made Tricky Trevor really happy and proud.

Thank you for the visit Tricky Trevor. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
