year 5's blog

What an adventure!

Today Year 5 had a real adventure. Whether it was the trapeze, abseiling or survival skills, all of the children showed great teamwork and supported each other. Well done Year 5!

Bear Grylls eat your heart out!

This afternoon some of the Year Five children honed their survival skills; making fires and building shelters. As you can see the children have great careers ahead of them as architects and master builders.

Giant swing

Our other group had a great day on the giant swing. Amidst much hilarity and laughter, the children were pulled high in to the sky and released at speed. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and are all looking forward to more fun tomorrow.

Zip wire and fencing

The children braved the zip wire today with many of them showing exceptional bravery and facing their fear of heights. They all really enjoyed the experience with screams that I am sure could be heard in Swindon!
Some of the children also tried their hand at fencing. Some of them show enough promise that we could have Olympic stars for 2024!

Happy Birthday Ollie!

Ollie had a lovely birthday celebration this afternoon with his year group. He blew out a candle on top of a mountain of chocolate brownies!
